Why work with Beth?
Because I can teach you how to take control of your health! I believe in a therapeutic partnership between client and practitioner that involves collaboration for setting and reaching health goals. No matter where you are in your journey, I will meet you there and guide you the direction YOU want to go. My philosophy on health is holistic and aims to treat the WHOLE person, not just the HOLE in the person.
I am accessible! If you live on Oahu, you can schedule to see me at IMUA Orthopedics, Sports, & Health, an integrative medical office with a foundation in Functional Medicine. If you are looking for a centered and well-educated health professional who truly cares about you on a deeper level, then I am your girl! I also teach my clients how to improve their life and find complete vitality with other modalities including mindful breathing, yoga, and essential oils.
What are my credentials?
I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Certified Lactation Counselor and Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor. I have been practicing nutritional medicine with individuals and groups for over 10 years. I am currently working to complete my master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States, a science-based and patient-centered approach to health that focuses on treating the person by first assessing the underlying cause of disease.
I consider myself an expert in gut health, women’s health, family nutrition, infant and child nutrition (to include breastfeeding support), sports performance and chronic disease but I also have special interest in helping those with thyroid, adrenal fatigue and gastrointestinal health.
Other certifications I have completed include Adolescent and Childhood Obesity Management Counseling, Emotion-Based Counseling Technique, Certified Counselor in Intuitive Eating and I am a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
Where can you find Beth?
I currently reside on the island of Oahu with my with my husband, Stephen, and puppy, Lola. When I am not in my office, you might find me practicing or teaching yoga, scuba diving, gardening, trying out and developing new recipes, hiking, or enjoying the beach. I also love to travel and have lived in three different countries and traveled to well over 20+.
